Overall Project:

One of the top priorities for any landfill is litter control. It is important that litter does not get blown out of the landfill dump into the surrounding area. To combat this landfill sites often have litter fencing installed.

Services Provided:

The work involved the installation of new 3.0metre high litter fencing with 45 degree crank extension. All excavations were carried out mechanically using a 4×4 tractor with an attached hydraulic post driver and steel boom. This enabled us to carry out the job quickly by avoiding manual digging. The skid steer was also used with a hydraulic concrete mixer which allowed us to make our own concrete, minimising wastage and reducing manual handling.

Result / Technical Details:

This contract was completed to the clients required timescales due to the efficiency of the operation.
